Full Description
The living room is open on three sides to allow the rainforest sights and sounds to envelope you. Toucans and hummingbirds visit the tropical foliage and three species of monkeys leap from tree to tree right outside your balcony. You'll feel like you're in the Garden of Eden. The ceiling is constructed of 24-foot post and beams to maximize the year-round cool ocean breezes and protect the living room from the tropical sun and afternoon rain showers. From the balconies, you can see the peninsula that forms Manuel Antonio National Park and the small pacific islands surrounding it. The main house is four stories high and is reminiscent of an observation tower. The environmental impact is minimized with the small (600 sq. ft) footprint, but the top opens out to 1,200 square feet of beautifully designed living space. In all, there are five stories and there is an elevator for your convenience. Costa Rica's mild climate makes it possible to leave the great room sides open to the tropical ambiance, without walls to obstruct the surrounding paradise. This is truly harmonious living by design. Every feature of this thoughtfully designed home was created from indigenous materials and created by local craftsmen. The inspiration for the home is a Japanese Zen garden, as can be seen in the Asian style roof reminiscent of 17th century minka folk houses. The 500-square foot master suite is one level down from the grand salon. Its large private bathroom has a double headed shower and stone bath with Jacuzzi. It features a large wraparound ocean view terrace, plenty of sofa seating and king size bed. There are two bedrooms on the level below. They have jungle and pool views and private bathrooms. One has a king bed, and the other has a queen bed. There is another king size bedroom on the pool level overlooking the garden and pool. It has a private bathroom with a sunken tub. The jungle pool is a natural style oasis, with a rock stair entry, twenty-foot waterfall and beautiful tropical gardens. It has a large play area and a lap lane that can be used at the same time. The pool house is one of the most relaxing parts of the home. Its 3 sofas can be converted into one king bed and one twin, or three twin beds. Great for open-air sleeping, it is always cooled by the ocean breeze and a light blanket is all that's needed. The back of the pool house is nestled into the trees, while the front opens to the pool and waterfall. A great place to entertain, the pool house also has an outdoor barbecue, kitchenette with large fridge and sink. There are two air conditioned bedrooms on the lower level of the pool house, each with an open air shower. One of these bedrooms has 3 twin beds, the other a king size bed. Two of the twin beds can be converted into an additional king-size bed. From the balconies, you can see the peninsula that forms Manuel Antonio National Park and the small pacific islands surrounding it. To complete your unforgettable vacation, you will have the support of a full-service management company. The home is fully staffed including your own house maids who will keep everything in top condition and will do daily laundry. A gourmet chef is also available to prepare unforgettable tropical meals in your own home. Your concierge will assist with any travel arrangements, tours or other details that will make your stay in Manuel Antonio completely stress free. |
